How we create our exam questions: Creating Exam Questions

Service: Characterization with visual
expression
(diagrams, blow-outs, maps, graphic organizers, chart, poster, pamphlet)
Provide
some practical ways we can strive for holiness. Consider our thoughts, imaginations,
actions, decisions, reason, and relationships.
SS: Government, Citizenship, History, geography: Action (Drama, Movement, Change) with written expression
(narration, proposal, biography, persuade, problem/solution,
instructions, list, poetry, composition)
There was much
upheaval and change in the life of Richard III. Write about what was happening
around him. Be sure and include details about how his brother Edward IV came to
the throne (taking it by force from Henry VI). Include how he after his death
was succeeded by Henry VII. What was the impact the War of the Roses
(York/white roses: Edward IV and Richard III verses Lancaster/red roses: Henry
VI) had on his life and reign? You can also include how he was accused of
murdering his nephews after his death.
Literature, Poetry & Additional Reading: View point with creative expression
(handicraft, recycled material project, diorama, cooking, land art, or
art media: collage, paint, mold, chalk, pencil)
Choose
any of the following subjects and elaborate on it: The Thistle and the Rose, a
story from Chaucer's Canturbury Tales, or "Athelstane, arrayed in the
garments of the grave, stood before them, pale, haggard . . ." Provide
background, the events, and the consequences.

Persuade, judge, compare/contrast, inform, narration)
Joan
of Arc wasn’t allowed a fair trial. Create a presentation where you could
defend her. Consider what was happening and who the key people were in the
trials. Think about Joan’s disposition and her year long confinement. Be sure
to include ideas of her military conduct and respect for the French king.

song, hymn, instrument and Art: artist, technique: Background with movement
(play, puppet show, music, dance, video (still, animated, silent, movie)
Describe
the place you would most like to visit from How the Heather Looks. Consider
what it was like for the people that lived there when the author did and what
it was like for the Bodger family. How may it be different now? You may wish to
see pictures or satellite maps of the place you choose for research.
