Painting the Sidewalk

In the past, I 've mixed up some paint to make sidewalk paint, but this year I thought why not just try out painting with plain tempra paints.

 

So we took out our paint box and paintbrushes and a water tray.

The kids each got busy on their own paintings.

 

I can't report on how long it takes to wash off, since it hasn't rained yet. We have had a painted walk for about a week now. Do be careful. It is very tempting to walk in the fresh paint when it is on the ground. We had several orange and red shoe prints tracked through the garage.
