Preschool and Kindergarten Mathematics: Numeral Recognition

There are lots of ways to help your youngin' learn to recognize their numbers.

Simple connect the dots can be used. Count along with your kids and let them find them number.

We also had them match a number of objects to the corresponding number. We made number cards and they could choose which one matched the object.

Reading number books is tremendously helpful as well. We love Over in the Meadow.

 

This version doesn't have the numerals, but we use number cards to hold up for the song.
