Preschool and Kindergarten Math: Cooking

We make lots of things together.

The kids are always helping with meals,
and we sometimes have a special cooking project:

gingerbread men, breakfast for dinner, tea parties…

sometimes they are based on a book we've read or a theme they are interested in.

We read the recipe together and measure out what we need.

We use the proper terms:

cups, teaspoons, tablespoons, etc.
