Composer: Piotr Ilyich Tchaikovsky

We are studying the composer Piotr Ilyich Tchaikovsky. 

May 7, 1840 – November 6, 1893

He was born in Votkinsk, a town in Russia's Ural Mountains. He was considered a pioneer in many ways: he was the first full-time Russian composer, he combined Western practices with Russian folk song, and he reflected Russian national character in the highest of European standards of quality.
