Natural Dye Hat

We are heading to camp soon and every year we take a hat for Little Man. His little bald baby head would very quickly get burned. This year we decided to take a hat that we dyed with natural dyes.

We started with a 100% cotton fisherman style hat.

We put the hat on to simmer in salt water for about 1 hour.

Then we mixed about 2 tsp. turmeric in boiling water and put the hat in for about 20 minutes.

We rinsed it out and hung it to dry.

A perfect hat for camp!
