We don't watch a lot of Disney movies. Mostly because my dear Ceesa is very compassionate and is usually shaking and quaking and crying when the evil character appears to be winning. So when we read books that have been made into a movie, my kids don't know the movie version. I find that movies don't compare to books anyway.
So I'm okay with no Disney movies and when we read the two Jungle Books, Ceesa was starting from scratch. There is sooo much more to the story. And she was smitten right away.
The Undertaker Chapter is a tough one. Did you know that a mugger is a marsh crocodile? Or that an "elephant gun" is referred to as a double four-bore? Yeah, me neither. When I was curious and decided to google an unfamiliar term, we came up with a site that has notes on The Undertaker. It is so very helpful.
Wishing you homeschool blessings,

I know it and Pinocchio is just too disobedient and selfish for words!
