I have been homeschooling for about 6 years now.
And I have a confession to make.
I don't like to take a break,
not even the week of Thanksgiving.
We have fun with learning, it is part of our lifestyle,
so it isn't something we take a break from.
Here's the second confession...
This week...
we've taken the whole week off.
And it may not even really be a break,
since it started with Jo-Jo vomiting all over
the sofa and her bed spread and her face and
her hair and her arms and her clothes...
and did I mention all over me?
So here we are from a Saturday to Saturday...
This week we've done no school, zero, zip, zilch.
Nada.
We've watched movie after movie,
between aches and fevers and hacking coughs.
Yes, everyone has been sick from Poppa to Little Man.
(Do you feel like maybe you should stop reading?
Sometimes I get a little paranoid that I can catch people's
germs just reading about them, but I'm a bit of a germophobe!
I am pretty sure that you won't get what we've got through the blog. :)
The one thing I have done this week
is grab my copy of The Waldorf School Book of Soups.
off of the shelf to see what we might be able to eat.
Something drew my attention to the
Egg and Lemon Chicken Soup.
It must be the combination of the lemon
and chicken broth that drew my attention to it.
Ahh the comfort of soup.
Wishing you homeschool blessings,
