For this term,
we are studying
Jean Honore Fragonard.
Fragonard was most popular before the French Revolution among the aristocracy. Although he survived, many of his patrons met the guillotine, his career did not last beyond the revolt.
Many of his works are over revealing, to say the least, but there are some very light-hearted works of children and peasants working.
The Grand Cascade at Tivoli, 1760
The Swing, 1766
The Music Lesson, 1769
A Young Girl Reading, 1776
Education is Everything, 1780
The Visit to the Nursery, 1783 or earlier
My favorite is
A Young Girl Reading.
If she was a model,
I wonder how she fared during the revolution?
If she was a model,

What's your favorite?
Wishing you homeschool blessings,
